SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Author S.S. Taylor talks about her new book, "The Expeditioners," an adventure book for kids.

The story takes place in a world where the government has taken down the Internet, but innovation has continued using other mechanisms of power (think mechanical birds, hot air balloons and steam powered vehicles some might recognize as Steampunk). In the wake of this crackdown, people discover that there has been a conspiracy to hide entire parts of the world from the public and a celebrated community of explorers emerge to find these lands. One of the explorers disappears, leaving behind a strange map and his three children set off to find what happened to their father.
