JAY, Vt. -
Vermont's ski resorts are celebrating what they say is perfect timing with this major winter storm falling on their big holiday week.
Resorts like Jay Peak say they already had a foot of natural snow before the storm, making for near-perfect conditions as the New Year's weekend approaches-- an especially busy time for ski areas.
Many Vermont resorts are reporting that most or all of their trails are open.
The snow is also a boon for cross-country ski areas-- welcome news after last year's tough winter.
