Finding a child care can be challenging, many have waiting lists. And in addition, the schedules might not work for people who work long or irregular hours. So, a center has decided to offer evening care. Renae Desautels is the director at Leaps and Bounds Child Care Centers. Leaps and Bounds is opening the first in the state evening care program to accommodate families who work second shift.
The evening care offers the same theme-based curriculum, policies and procedures that the current day program does, but on a different time schedule. Desautels says the facility is excited to support Vermonters who work and to expand their own Vermont business with the addition of staff for the program. They are launching the program in January 2013. Watch the video for more.
