ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities plan a news conference this week in an effort to identify 30,000 pieces of jewelry, coins and other valuables they say were stolen over the past several years from homes in three upstate New York counties.
State police say 31 duffel bags of stolen items have been recovered following the arrest of a 39-year-old man from Fort Edward in Washington County.
Police say John W. Suddard II is charged with possession of stolen property and being held in Albany County Jail without bail.
Authorities believe other items came from Warren and Saratoga counties.
They say they'll disclose details of the investigation Wednesday at the Hudson Falls Police Department.
