ELMORE, Vt. -
A 55-year-old Vermont man is recovering following a late-night mountain rescue.
Morristown resident Arthur Treanor hugged his daughter as rescue crews dropped him off at the Elmore Fire Department early Wednesday morning.
Treanor got lost while cross-country skiing the Catamount Trail Tuesday afternoon, and temperatures dipped into the single digits before crews found him about an hour before midnight.
The Elmore Volunteer Fire Department, Stowe Mountain Rescue, and Vermont State Police all took part in the search.
Treanor was able to walk out of the woods and medical personnel evaluated him on-scene.
