PERU, N.Y. -
Police in Peru, N.Y., are investigating a late night convenience store robbery.
A robber hit the Stewart's Shop on Route 22 just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and displayed what appeared to be a handgun.
Police say the subject, who wore a mask and gloves, then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt.
Police say the person appeared to be alone and they are looking for the car -- a black passenger car with a rear wing or spoiler on it.
