Vermont's historic sites are getting some federal help.
The state was awarded nearly $378,000 in historic preservation grants, part of nearly $23 million granted nationwide.
Those awards can fund projects like nominations for the National Register of Historic Places, preservation education, planning, and repair work.
There will be fewer school districts in Vermont if Gov. Peter Shumlin has his way. The governor is urging the Legislature to produce a bill for him to sign. The plan has lawmakers nervous because it could lead to loss of local control.More >>
