Tiante Branch
RUTLAND, Vt. -
A man caught trying to sell drugs in Rutland will spend the next decade in prison.
Monday, Tiante Branch, 32, of Troy, N.Y., was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.
Vermont State Police used a confidential informant to buy crack cocaine from Branch in February. Police then seized additional drugs, several thousand dollars in cash and a loaded pistol from a Rutland hotel room occupied by Branch.
A co-defendant, Quincy Collins, 32, is slated for sentencing next month.
