New Hampshire retailers say people are planning to spend less this year.
The Retail Merchants Association of New Hampshire says people plan to decrease their overall spending compared to a couple of years ago, so they're bracing for the lack an increase in consumer spending.
The association says New Hampshire's tax-free shopping is but one component of a healthy retail industry in the state.
The industry employs more workers ages 24-30 than any other sector in the Granite State.
