WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont town is holding a public forum to discuss the future of a now-vacant school.
The Perkinsville School in Weathersfield dates back to 1879.
The town select board is holding a forum on Monday, Jan. 14, in Martin Memorial Hall.
Voters will likely decide to renovate the building or authorize the town to sell it after demolishing two additions from the 1950s and 1960s.
The Eagle Times reports estimates to renovate the school for use as a community meeting space is roughly $300,000.
The school has been vacant since 2008.
