BENNINGTON, Vt. -
Two southern Vermont hospitals are getting some help thanks to the fiscal cliff compromise.
The legislation passed on Capitol Hill includes about $2 million in funding for the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington and Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
The federal program that helped with reimbursement to small, rural hospitals with a high percentage of Medicare patients had expired on September 30.
