The St. Johnsbury Boys basketball team got a game high 17 points from exchange student Vlad Cobzaru is a 55-38 win over Rice Monday night. It's the first loss of the season for the Green Knights (7-1) while the Hilltoppers improve to 9-0.
St. Johnsbury started to pull away in the second quarter led by the 6-7 Junior from Romania along with Jacob Grinsburg (14 points) and Tristan Ross (10 points).
Rice trailed by just 3 after one quarter, but went through a scoreless stretch in the second and third quarters. Casey Tipson and Marcus Willingham each had 13 for Rice.
