Car crashes into house in Newport

NEWPORT, Vt. -

A crash in Newport Monday night left a lodged in a house and landed three Albany, Vermont men in the hospital.

Police say that at 9 p.m., 44-year-old Francis Warner crashed into a house on Coventry Street. Rescue crews had to use the Jaws of Life to get two of the men out.

Warner and his two passengers, 20-year-old Joshua and 49-year-old Frank Warner, were taken to the hospital.

Police say speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash.
