MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Today was supposed to be the day we learned how Vermont's new healthcare system would be paid for, but the Shumlin administration says it needs more time.
A law passed back in 2011 set January 15 as the deadline for the administration to give lawmakers answers on how the Green Mountain Care single-payer health plan would be paid for.
But the administration says they want until January 24 -- when the Governor's budget address is scheduled.
