Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of a Rutland sheriff deputy's semi-automatic handgun.
The Rutland Herald reports the weapon, credit cards, checkbooks and cash were taken from a safe in Lt. Frank Wilk Jr.'s home in Clarendon just after noon on Tuesday.
