A celebration date has been set to mark the opening of a new covered bridge.
The original Bartonsville covered bridge was swept away during Tropical Storm Irene.
The new 168-foot-bridge has been under construction just off Route 103 in Rockingham for the last several months. And a ribbon-cutting has been set for Jan. 26 at 11 a.m.
