High winds cause scattered outages

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

High winds Sunday caused wide spread power outages across the region.

Green Mountain Power said the storm, with winds gusting to 50 mph, disrupted service to a total of 8,100 customers as of 5:30 p.m.

As of Sunday evening line crews had restored power to the majority of those customers and officials expect all customers to be back on by late this evening or early Monday morning.
