CLARENDON, Vt. -
A sheriff's son is facing burglary charges after police say he stole his father's work gun and money.
Police arrested Jaron Wilk, 24, after he confessed to stealing his father's gun from a safe inside the home.
Rutland County Sheriff's Deputy Frank Wilk reported the burglary a week ago. A State Police investigation revealed that his son was a suspect.
They say he had dropped the gun back off at his father's house the day before his arrest. Credit cards and cash were also taken, some of which, have also been recovered.
