Suspect in Charlotte/Hinesburg vandalism caught

CHARLOTTE, Vt. -

Police say they've caught the suspect behind a vandalism spree in Charlotte and Hinesburg last week.

Police say Jake Clark of Hinesburg vandalized multiple mailboxes and stole several traffic signs early in the morning on Jan. 16.

They also say he used a truck to push over a parking attendant's booth in Mt. Philo State Park, causing more than $1,000 in damage.

Police say the 21-year-old admitted to the vandalism and is facing charges.
