HANOVER, N.H. -
There is a new art piece on the campus of Dartmouth College that's music to the ears.
It's called "Ice Chimes." It's made by a Dartmouth alumnus and his partner, who own an architecture firm in Boston. When snow lands on the roof of structure, heating coils melt the snow, which then drips down the metal chimes forming large icicles. When the wind is right, the icicles clang together making winter music.

"This is a great new building at Dartmouth and it is one of the things that makes Dartmouth such a great campus, having these facilities. And so to put artwork there and have students and faculty and visitors engage with it, we couldn't think of a better project to celebrate the year of the arts," said Michael Taylor, the director of the Hood Museum of Art.
However, the piece is just temporary. It will stay up through spring, as long as it continues to snow.
