If you thought it was cold at your house Wednesday morning, just be glad you weren't at the top of Mount Washington.
The Observatory posted a photo just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, showing air temperatures of negative 35 degrees outside. They said it was the coldest temperature one of their observers had ever seen, though not a record. The record is 47 below, set back in 1934.
But Wednesday, wind gusts around 60 mph made it feel like 83 degrees below zero.
