
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Bitter cold temperatures and wind chills have delayed a number of school openings in Vermont.
Delays were reported Wednesday morning in Washington, Orange, Franklin, Caledonia and Lamoille counties in the northern and central parts of the state.
Wind chill advisories are in effect through much of the state through Wednesday night. High temperatures of the day in much of the state were expected to stay in the single digits.
