Police: Barre City man drove drunk with grandkids in car

BARRE CITY, Vt. -

A grandfather from Barre City faces child cruelty charges.

Police say Terrence Lacroix, 57, drove his two young grandchildren to the Barre City Elementary school Thursday morning after they missed the bus. He was later pulled over and police say testing showed Lacroix's blood alcohol level was more than 3.5 times the legal limit. He is due in court next month.
