KILLINGTON, Vt. -
State Police are taking to the airwaves with a message for out-of-bounds skiers.
The Rutland Herald reports the public service announcement isn't meant to stop them from taking turns in the back woods, but rather explain how to do it safely.
Rescue crews have saved 46 out of state skiers who lost their way off the back of Killington and Pico already this year.
Currently state police are not charging for these rescues, and Killington Resort is not pulling passes.
