SHELBURNE, Vt. -
Chittenden County State's Attorney T.J. Donovan, police and health officials are meeting to discuss a potential case of horse abuse in Shelburne.
Spring Hill Horse Rescue in Clarendon is caring for three horses after officials said they were found in small, dark stalls, standing in manure and surrounded by the remains of other horses. Their hooves were also severely overgrown.
Shelburne Police said the seizure was done at the George Wilson residence and the owner agreed to surrender them to rescue group.
