Flu claims life of child in NH

The flu epidemic in New Hampshire has now claimed the life of a child.

State heath officials say hospitals like Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center are still seeing an extremely high number of flu patients.

The number of flu-related deaths in the state has increased to 35-- the highest death toll since 1997.

The department says the child who died was under 5 years old. No further information was available.
