GMC moves forward on new Long Trail foot bridge

BOLTON, Vt. -

The Green Mountain Club is working on a new route for the Long Trail in Bolton.

They are issuing a challenge to raise $50,000 for a foot bridge crossing over the Winooski River and have already raised more than $500,000.

Now an anonymous donor has agreed to match every donation up to $50,000 though the end of August.

The club expects to break ground by June and complete the bridge in time for the fall.
