School principals say they are listening to parents concerns and questions about school security.
The Sandy Hook school shootings brought the issue to light, and now parents want to know what procedures the schools are following for lockdowns, cameras in schools, and how will they find out if there is something going on at the school.
Rochester School Principal Linda Kelley says concerns brought up at a recent meeting with parents have prompted changes there.
"Parents were very concerned, this time of year, kids have to evacuate so quickly they do not have time to get their coats, boots, gloves and snowshoes. Where do we take them? How do we keep them warm? How do we keep them from getting anxious? That was a great concern for parents," Kelley said.
Kelley says in response to these concerns they will rethink their plan to have kids evacuate to a building closer to the main campus.
