Vote on Vermont state vegetable

Posted: Updated:
MONTPELIER, Vt. -

Should kale become the Vermont state vegetable?

Last week, a bill was introduced to add the trendy vegetable to the list of official state symbols. It's one of the lighter issues under the golden dome, but it has become the talk of the state.

Now WCAX is conducting an unscientific poll. A number of you suggested fiddleheads, rhubarb, potatoes or peas might be a better state vegetable. You can make your voice heard by voting in the poll. Voting will continue until Monday. We will share the results with lawmakers next week.
