BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Children that land on the autism spectrum can struggle with social skills. So the YMCA in Burlington is launching a program to help. It's called Alternative Recreational Club House or ARCH. The goal is to introduce social thinking to help engage with others, and maybe forge new friendships.
Tori Cleiland is a licensed special educator and the Y leader of ARCH. Joanne Turpin's 12-year-old son, Jonas, is on the autism spectrum. They appeared on The :30 to talk about the program. Watch the video for more.
