WASHINGTON, D.C. -
Saturday mail service is soon to be a
thing of the past as the U.S. Postal Service announces major changes Wednesday.
After losing $16 billion last year,
the Postal Service has decided to eliminate first class mail delivery on
Saturdays. All medicines, priority, and express mail would still be delivered.
The move is expected to save about $2 billion a year and
will take effect by Aug. 1.
