CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to transporting and possessing child pornography.
Prosecutors say during an investigation into child pornography trafficking by law enforcement agents in Chicago, the FBI said it learned that images of child pornography had been sent to an email account of 34-year-old George McAlpin of Berlin, N.H.
The FBI says McAlpin admitted to possessing and transmitting child pornography images over the computer and a search of his computer revealed thousands of images and numerous videos of sexual assaults of children.
McAlpin will be required to register as a sex offender and has been ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release when he gets out of prison.
