Student killed in Brattleboro crash

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

Students at Brattleboro Union High School are mourning a fellow student after a deadly car crash.

Police say 17-year-old James Evans Junior of Dummerston died in the crash near the Brattleboro Country Club at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Another person in the car was injured, but police have not released an identity.

Evans is described as a popular student who connected well with his classmates.
