In a pair of good boys games, Rice held off a hard-charging Essex team, 59-56. Meanwhile, Spaulding downed South Burlington, 62-44.
The games also competitive on the girls side. BFA-Fairfax improves to 14-1 with a 37-25 win over Richford. Winooski tops Stowe, 53-28.
