Police investigate death in Vt. hospital parking lot

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. -

Police are investigating how a man died in the parking lot of Springfield Hospital.

Investigators say his body was discovered Thursday morning inside his car. Police believe he drove himself to the ER, but died before making it inside. They have not released a cause of death but say foul play is not suspected. Events leading up to his arrival and how long he was in the parking lot are being investigated.

Police are withholding the victim's name until his family is notified.
