BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A former University of Vermont president received a special honor Friday.
The university's board of trustees formally named the administrative home to the College of Arts and Sciences after Lattie Coor. The building at 438 College Street is now called Coor House.
Coor served as president at UVM from 1976 to 1989. Board chair Robert Cioffi praised the former president for moving UVM to "national prominence" in American higher education.
A formal dedication is in the works for Commencement Weekend this May.
