Chili lovers were in hog heaven this weekend at Wilkins Harley Davidson in Barre.
30 different versions of classic -- and a little off-beat -- chili recipes were on display, and open for tasting, at the Best Damn Chili Cook-off on Saturday.
The tradition spans more than 10 years and the competition is fierce.
Lt. Governor Phil Scott, Chef Mike Kennedy and our own Molly Smith were on hand to do the judging. This year's first place went to Cherie Frost, but the real winner was the Pecor family.
The community is raising money to help pay for 6-year-old Sierra Pecor's medical bills while she fights a scary tumor in her throat. More than $600 was raised in a matter of hours.
The winners were:
First Place: Cherie Frost
Second Place: Pat Reilly
Third Place: Bill Phelps
Best Presentation: John Raper
People's Choice: Ted and Mindy Gilman.
