Vermont animal clinics are encouraging you to beat the heat.
Vermont has declared February Spay and Neuter Month, and VT-CAN! is offering $20 spays and neuters all month.
It says animals that are not fixed have unplanned litters that get released to shelters, and many have to be euthanized. Pamela Krausz from VT-CAN! says a lower price point should help encourage people to bring their pets in.
VSNIP also offers year-round $25 spays and neuters for low-income Vermonters. You can go on their website to see if you qualify.
