BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A stunning announcement from the Vatican Monday -- Pope Benedict is going to resign at the end of the month.
The Pontiff will be the first to voluntarily step down in 600 years. Pope Benedict has been the leader of the Roman Catholic Church since 2005. He told a meeting of Cardinals Monday that the job requires mental and physical strength that he just does not feel he has any longer. Pope Benedict is 85 years old.
