Police still withholding driver ID in fatal crash

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

Brattleboro police are still withholding the identity of a driver involved in a fatal crash that killed a popular teen.

James Evans, 17, of Dummerston, was killed a week ago in a single car crash near the Brattleboro Country Club. He was a passenger. Another person in the car was injured.

WCAX News has placed repeated calls to Brattleboro police to learn more about the case, including who was driving. Those calls have not been returned.
