Gov. Hassan includes gambling in NH budget

CONCORD, N.H. -

New Hampshire's new governor is betting the Granite State will get into the casino business.

Maggie Hassan's budget includes $80 million in gambling licensing fees. But the Legislature has not passed any legislation to allow casinos.

Republican critics say the governor is gambling with the budget, because if lawmakers don't go along with her plan, they will have to make $80 million in cuts.
