Valentine's Day has special meaning for a group of foster parents in Hyde Park. For the last six years, Laraway Youth and Family Services has used the holiday to honor foster families.
Thursday, the organization hosted a large group of foster parents at Sweet Crunch in Hyde Park, treating them to lunch and thanking them for their service. In total, this group is providing safe and loving homes for about 30 kids.
"We need to get to celebrate every now and then and recognize that the foster parents who are a part of our agency really do phenomenal work," said Greg Stefanski of Laraway Youth and Family Services.
Laraway has been working with foster families for 20 years in communities from Montpelier to Hyde Park.
