BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Grace's Closet is an organization that collects formal dresses to resell for girls who can't afford prom dresses. The organization is put on by Milton Interact with support from Milton/Colchester Rotary.

It's named after Grace Emery, a Vermonter who lost her life to cancer this past July. Courtney Pelkey is a friend of Grace's and created the idea for Grace's Closet. Courtney and Grace's relationship goes back to second grade, and Courtney tells Mike McCune why she decided to start Grace's Closet and what the connection is to Grace's fashion sense. Watch the video for more.

Dress and jewelry donations are accepted until March 4. And the day of Grace's Closet takes place March 9, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at Milton High School. Monetary donations to Grace's Closet go toward Camp Ta-Kum-Ta.
