MONTPELIER, Vt. -
They had a very big job to do and now VTrans crews have returned from clearing snow in Boston.
The big Northeast blizzard walloped Beantown a week ago, dumping more than 2 feet of snow and overwhelming city and state crews.
So, Vermont sent 30 VTrans workers with 15 trucks and loaders to clear Boston's streets and bus terminals. The crew was originally supposed to return Wednesday, but there was so much snow they needed an extra day before the convoy could roll back to Vermont.
