S. BURLINGTON, VT - The St. Johnsbury boys basketball team dished out a little heartbreak on Valentine's Day as the Hilltoppers beat Rice 46-43 in overtime in South Burlington.
St. Johnsbury improved to 18-0 with the victory, and clinched the top seed in the upcoming D-1 playoffs. Rice falls to 14-3 and saw their 30-game home win streak snapped.
Vlad Cobzaru powered the Hilltoppers with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Casey Tipson paced the Green Knights with 15 points.
