COLCHESTER, Vt. -
Colchester Technical Rescue, St. Michael's Rescue, and other area police and fire departments responded to Lime Kiln bridge around nine o'clock Friday night.
Crews worked for about an hour to pull a man out of the ravine. Colchester police issued a press release Saturday saying that the man had jumped from the bridge, falling approximately 40 feet, after being chased by St. Michael's College security.
Police say just prior to the incident the male entered the Simon's Convenience store by the college and destroyed merchandise. The male's name has not been released. He was transported to Fletcher Allen.
