NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) - A retired engineer is going to be talking about peace and justice as part of the first installment of the 2013 Spring Todd Lecture Series at Vermont's Norwich University in Northfield.
The talk on Monday by Aarne Vesilind, a retired professor of civil and environmental engineering from Bucknell University, is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Norwich's Dole Auditorium.
The talk is hosted by the David Crawford School of Engineering.
Norwich Engineering Professor Michael Kelley says Vesilind is an environmental futurist grounded in leadership, ethics and values.
The Todd Lecture Series is named in honor of U.S. Army retired Maj. Gen. and Norwich President W. Russell Todd, Norwich class of 1950, and his wife, Carol. All events are free and open to the public.
