Police investigate death in Stockbridge

STOCKBRIDGE, Vt. -

Police are investigating an accidental death in Stockbridge.

Investigators say the body of a 22-year-old woman was discovered Saturday morning at a home off Timber Hawk Road. Police say the woman was from Maryland and came to Vermont with 16 other friends for a weekend trip. Investigators say it appears she consumed a large amount of alcohol.

Her autopsy is still pending, but police do not suspect foul play.
