MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Vermont's state plane has been grounded. Vt. Transportation Secretary Brian Searles shared the news Tuesday morning at Channel 3's "Policy Over Easy" breakfast. He says the plane is not safe to fly and will not be used by any state officials.
The move comes days after the Shumlin administration came under criticism for putting a new plane in the upcoming budget. That line item has since been nixed.
"We're taking a step back, the Legislature has questioned us, that's their role, we've accept that and we'll take another look at it," Searles said.
