Pier proposed for popular NEK fishing spot

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. -

St. Johnsbury town officials are considering a new fishing pier in Fred Mold Park.

The Caledonian Record reports Green Mountain Power has offered to build the structure and give it to the town, which would be responsible for maintaining it.

The size and location have not been determined. The park sits where the Moose and Passumpsic rivers meet and is a popular spot for fishing and picnicking.
